Understanding Money

An understanding of the true nature of money is essential for those seeking economic reforms toward the creation of sustainable societies. People today have more erroneous ideas about money than Victorians had about sex, so please read the following with care.

Let's begin with the distinction between "legal tender" money which only the government or its agency, the Bank of Canada in the case of Canada, can create, and the "money" created by private banks-and increasingly by "near banks". If you happen to have a Bank of Canada note, on it you will read the words "This note is legal tender."

These notes, and checks drawn on the Bank of Canada, are the only legal money in Canada. What that means is that if you owe someone $20 and you give him a $20 bill he is paid and if he refuses payment in this form you are absolved of the debt. By contrast, he does not have to accept your check drawn on a private bank, or even a certified check of a private bank. Money issued by the Bank of Canada is sometimes called "Right of Purchase" money to distinguish it from "Promise to Pay" money created by private banks.

While private banks are in effect creating money out of nothing, they are (ostensibly) providing a (seemingly) important service as their "promise to pay money" is for many purposes safer and more convenient to use and store than actual cash. Furthermore, it costs the banks billions of dollars to maintain the payments system that clears your check back to your account and to keep the necessary records. All those nice, or not so nice, people who work in those banks, deciding who gets a loan and what happens if they can't pay have to be paid their salaries. Banks also have to pay phone bills, electricity, heat and so on. What they create is intangible, but at the same time very real. Essentially, the bank is substituting its promise to pay-which is accepted as money-for your promise to pay, which is not.

Today only about 4 percent of the money in circulation in Canada is Bank of Canada legal tender. In other words, 96 percent of our money is created by private banks (the Royal Bank and the Bank of Montreal are the most prevalent in this area). In 1945 the Bank of Canada accounted for 27 percent of our money. At that time the bank rate of interest was only 1.5 percent and the Canadian economy boomed.

Where Do the 'Seven Noahide Laws' Come From Anyway?

There is a strange movement afoot that is trapping the gullible into a false worship. It seems that there are increasing numbers of 'seekers' and disillusioned Protestants that are getting sucked into this pseudo-religious cult.

These overtly 'Jewish' organizations encourage all non-Jews to adhere to the so-called 'Seven Noahide Laws'... Here is just one of many such organizations:

Some people may think that one can be a Christian - while at the same time being a Noahide... but they are mistaken. Digging around a bit on the above site, I found the following:

Noahide Nations and others have been falsely accused, publicly, as being “Xtian Orgs Posing as Noahides”.  These false accusations were started by Frances Marakova of Rachav's B'nai Noah web site and Yahoo Group along with Pam Rogers and Nancy January of the Oklahoma B'nai Noach Society.  They were in complete violation of Torah for not contacting me first if they had a complaint and instead went public with their false allegations.  I have provided a great deal of information to many Rabbis in Israel and in the United States that clearly demonstrates the falsehood of their allegations.  Now I wish to share some of this information with you.

Form 1023 is the IRS application submitted by organizations requesting tax exempt recognition from the IRS.  For reasons unknown to us as of this date the IRS internally designated Noahide Nations and other Noahide organizations with an “X20-Christian” code.  They did so without our knowledge or consent.

Certainly anyone who does a cursory examination of the Noahide Nations web site will see that we are no more Christian than a Jewish organization would be Christian. 

We were made aware of this through a flurry of phone calls and emails from distraught Noahide Nations Members who had been deceived into believing that Noahide Nations was really a Christian organization posing as Noahides.  I wish to thank these fine people who acted as true Noahides by contacting us directly and as a result of their concerns we became aware of the issue and can now do something about it."

I think that makes it pretty clear that a Noahide is not (and in fact cannot be) a Christian. Noahides are permitted to think of Jesus as a wise Man, as a teacher; a philosopher... but they may not affirm His Divinity. To declare that Jesus is Divine is against the Noahide 'commandment' prohibiting idolatry.

To worship Jesus as the Christ is considered idolatry (and is technically punishable by decapitation according to 'Jewish' [read: Talmudic] law).

So where do these so called 'Seven Noahide Laws' come from anyway? The Noahides will tell you that they come from the Torah. But does that mean that they can be found in our Christian Bibles? The 'Torah' is just the Old Testament, most Westerners will tell us... but is that true?

In actuality, what the Judaics refer to as 'Torah' (teaching) refers to 'The Law' in its entirety... meaning that for 'Jews' (excepting the Karaites of which there are only about 50,000 worldwide) - Torah includes both Written Torah (known as the Tanakh; what Christians refer to as the Old Testament) and Oral Torah (known collectively as Talmud). The following demonstrates the true Talmudic origins of the so-called 'Seven Noahide Laws'.

(a) The Body of Christ

(b) The community of believers and followers of Jesus Christ since Pentecost — that point in time at which that community has been guided by The Holy Spirit, as had been promised by Our Lord prior to His Crucifixion and Resurrection:

(c) The same yesterday, today and forever, just as Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever [Hebrews 13:8]

(e) Holy; sacramental; liturgical - as opposed to being merely some sort of club for social networking, or activism, or community organizing, or debating, or …. whatever is the trend of the week

(f) Catholic; universal; The Church for all of humanity in all places at all times, and also with each “Church” — each place of Orthodox worship, and each Autocephalous Church — complete in itself as the nexus between time and eternity, between Heaven and Earth.

(g) Apostolic; in continuity — both temporally and in terms of teachings and tradition — with the Apostles, who themselves were guided by Our Lord and Saviour, and who were in continuity with the teachings and traditions of the Israelite people prior to the temporal ministry of Jesus, the Messiah

(h) Orthodox; of correct teachings, correct worship, correct glorification.  Lex orandi, lex credendi.

The (First) First Holocaust?

Over four billion Jews were killed by the Romans in 135AD… 64 million children wrapped up in Torah scrolls and burned…. Apparently?

Four hundred synagogues each with Four hundred teachers each with Four hundred students:

400 x 400 x 400 = 64,000,000 (sixty four million)

There weren’t 4,000,000,000 people on Earth until 1970, and ancient demography indicates that there certainly were not 16 million Jews in the entire world at that time, much less 64 million Jewish children or four billion Jews.

I think people need to point this out more often.

Was this ‘The First Holocaust’? I think we’re seeing a pattern here with these Talmudists.

An interesting perspective on World War II, and the players involved.

Many people take joy in saying Wall Street and Jewish bankers “financed Hitler.” There is plenty of documented evidence that Wall Street and Jewish bankers did indeed help finance Hitler at first, partly because it allowed the bankers to get rich (as I will describe below) and partly in order to control Stalin. However, when Germany broke free from the bankers, the bankers declared a world war against Germany.

When we look at all the facts, the charge that “Jews financed Hitler” becomes irrelevant. Los Angeles Attorney Ellen Brown discusses this topic in her book Web of Debt…

When Hitler came to power, Germany was hopelessly broke. The Treaty of Versailles had imposed crushing reparations on the German people, demanding that Germans repay every nation’s costs of the war. These costs totaled three times the value of all the property in Germany. Private currency speculators caused the German mark to plummet, precipitating one of the worst runaway inflations in modern times. A wheelbarrow full of 100 billion-mark banknotes could not buy a loaf of bread. The national treasury was empty. Countless homes and farms were lost to speculators and to private banks. Germans lived in hovels. They were starving.
